Supporting Parents and Growing Kids

Raising a child with developmental differences can bring both questions and joy. At Bright Branch ABA, we support families from first concerns to lasting progress—offering guidance and care every step of the way. Here’s how we support you through those steps.

Noticing some differences?

From Concern to Clarity

It’s common for parents to wonder if their child is developing on track. If you’ve noticed delays in communication, limited eye contact, or behavior that seems different from peers, a quick screener can help bring clarity. You don’t need a referral—and you don’t need to wait.

M-CHAT-R

* The M-CHAT-R is a screening tool and not a diagnosis. If concerns arise, we can provide additional behavioral assessments to help determine whether a medical evaluation is recommended. A formal diagnosis must be made by a qualified medical provider.

Where Do We Go from Here?

First: Talk with our team

After reviewing your screener, we’ll schedule a free follow-up call to better understand your concerns. If additional evaluation is needed, we can complete behavior assessments and prepare a packet for your pediatrician to support a medical referral. When appropriate, we can also help connect families to pediatric neurologists or developmental specialists for formal diagnosis.

Second: Get a medical diagnosis

In Texas, a formal medical diagnosis of autism is required to begin ABA therapy through insurance. If your child shows signs that may indicate autism, we’ll guide you through the process of talking with your pediatrician and requesting a referral to a qualified specialist—such as a developmental pediatrician or pediatric neurologist. We’re here to help you understand what to expect, gather the right documents, and advocate for the support your child may need.

Third: Start treatment

Once a diagnosis is in place and insurance eligibility is confirmed, we’ll work with you to create an individualized ABA therapy plan for your child. Services can take place in your home, child care center, or school—wherever your child learns and grows each day. Our team will walk you through every step, from goals to scheduling, and keep you involved throughout.
If your child already has a medical diagnosis and you're ready to begin, you can get started by filling out our intake form below.
